Our New Trends Issue is Coming!

While compiling our September 2016 issue of LogiGear Magazine, we felt that we had so much content for SMAC that it was too much to keep for just one issue. Consequently, we had our December issue also focus on SMAC and decided to run a special edition this January that focuses solely on trends. In our ten year history, this is our first trends issue and you won’t want to miss it, so stay tuned!

There’s always a constant demand to expand technologies, to develop skills, and to automate more efficiently. In our January issue, we want to look beyond that and examine the rapid changes in software testing and how to respond to them. The shift in development methods, tools, and products, has resulted in a greater need for diverse and cross-platform testing.

It is important for someone with a career in software testing to diversify and learn high-level skills in a variety of areas. Alternatively, such a programmer or tester can specialize in one area to develop expert skills. Having a deeper understanding of your product and its users can be a large benefit to the team.

In this issue, we will look at areas of software testing with explosive growth and increased usage, which are essential to any software tester’s knowledge. James Sivak, our contributor for this special insert, will be offering his professional insight into security testing.

We are also pleased to announce the 2017 upcoming Video Series presented by Michael Hackett, which you can exclusively view online. As we get ready for the January issue, you can view our December Issue on SMAC: Riding the Next Software Testing Wave, until launch. Also, take a look at our 2017 editorial calendar; we’re always happy to consider submissions from new voices.
