DIGITAL HEARTS Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as “DIGITAL HEARTS”) recently announced that they have taken on the systems testing for the NESCAFÉ GOLDBLEND Barista Duo+. Barista Duo+ is both a coffee machine and an IoT device; by connecting to the internet, it supports cashless payments and can also let you know how much coffee and creamer is left in the device. Not only did the Barista Duo+ require extensive Software Testing, it required the testers to perform physical tasks like adding coffee, creamer, and water.
This made for a complex testing environment, but DIGITAL HEARTS was able to overcome this by preparing a unique test environment and implementing the automated testing. For this particular project, we enlisted test engineers in the LogiGear Vietnam office who utilized LogiGear’s Test Automation tool—TestArchitect—to deliver high-quality tests efficiently and at a low cost. LogiGear has over 25 years of experience in serving US businesses, and more than 15 years of experience providing Test Automation and automated testing in complex environments.
By using TestArchitect, the team was able to overcome the language barrier that is common when using overseas resources. They were able to do so because TestArchitect utilizes Keyword-Driven Testing, which allows a user to automate actions, and is easily extensible for localization testing. This allowed the DIGITAL HEARTS and LogiGear teams to automate easily in Japanese, thereby creating an environment that would be equal to doing everything onshore.
Various types of functional testing was performed, including:
